Even though it was played at the Shock Value 2 listening party, it's not going to be on SV2.
"Give It up to Me" is going to be the next single of Shakira's album "She Wolf". The album was already released in all countries, except the US. So it's gonna be on the US version of "She Wolf", wich will be released in November.
And as usual, you get that extra piece of info from us. There is also a version of "Give It Up To Me" with Flo Rida, which normally should be the final version. So let's see who ends up on the final one, Lil Wayne or Flo Rida...

The Chorus and melody is nice but that's all. An ordinary song, could be a lot better.

I agree with Big-a. This is forgettable. I can't really judge the track until I get a better mix of this. This is really muddy.

I have to admit though, although this track is average, it will make people dance in the club, and it will catch the female young listeners. So all in all, this track will be a success.
I just think the vocals need to lose some more mud, even in the HQ version.

Anyways, I personally fell in love with this track the minute I pressed play. It surprised me because I was actually expecting it to suck and disappoint me just like his contribution to BP3. If this came on at the club... omg. Imagine the bass! Damn! :D

Timbaland shouldn't call this album SV2 if tracks like THIS are gonna be on it. This ain't the Tha Carter franchise. & Wayne doesn't shock anyone any more considering that he's on EVERY track in EVERY genre, aside from J-Pop (correct me if I'm wrong). When he did it with Nelly F, that was OK, but Tim didn't go hard enough on this beat to allow Wayne to spit on it.
Honestly, I remember a time around 2007 when I was digging up all of Tim's 2000-2003 material, and every song had me at hello. This Shakira song is BS, Shakira should stick to Wild Thornberrys beats and stop muddying up Tim's waters.
