aw i like this.. nice and mellow.

This is real nice, i like timbalands tonal setting in this, the autotune doesn't sound too bad in this one.

the hook is amazing, what a great collab, I wouldn't be suprised if Timbaland did a studio album with The fray.

Kenny said...

Definitely the best track to come out of SV2 so far.

does Esthero counts as a rock artist :D ? or just The Fray?
i like this track..reminds me a bit of "All Good Things"

Haze said...

omg this is amazing!

Best song I've heard off SV2 so far... hoping the rest of the album matches this.

This brings up my hopes more for SV2 :)

This track right here is the next "Apologize". It's beautiful, timbo sounds great on it, the features sound great too, production is nice. This will be a definite hit! Possible single? It should be moreso than Morning After Dark and Say Something. This album is beginning to grow on a lot of people. There is so much diverse sound.

Ir reminds me of those tracks Tim did with Shelby Norman and Kiley Dean.

Kenny said...

This has to be a single, due to the fact it really wouldn't relate to the SV2 sound, I would say, because most of the tracks from SV2 are definitely more pop oriented.

but, either way, this track is superb.

I thinkthis is the best track I've heard thus far awesome

It's beautiful, and everything's perfect except for Tim's verse, which sounds completely inappropriate with the vocal effects/tuning. So distasteful...it just blows me away that he thinks that sounds good in a song like this. Tim aside, easily the best song I've heard from SV2 so far!

niiiccceee, best track ive heard from the leaks, i like it, but wait the hq version to apreciate it more.

Eh, it's ight, better than MAD or ease of the liquor though

Bilza said...

@toosy wtf u on about? It's timbo's album! Would be inappropriate if he didn't have a verse on this track. Would have been inappropraite yes if he sang the whole song. Besides it isn't bad at all. His voice isnt better than those on featuring on it but good enough for most.

If u know anythin about Timbo he sang like this on a few of these sorts of tracks before!

I don't know if yall can tell, but this track sounds very awesome thanks to The Fray... maybe I'm saying this because I'm a huge fan of theirs... but The Frays tracks are impecible...

Timbaland's influence is very subtle in this only relying on the drums... this may be my favorite of this album.

Like I said, I'm a huge The Fray fan...

Venture said...

Tims my dude and all, but... I would prefer him not being on this track. I'm sorry, but I would love to hear Slade on the verses.

And, oh, J-Roc had to have no melodic imput on this track... all The Fray! WEEEEEEE AWESOME TRACK

I want more Esthero...

Haze said...

i totally agree venture, Timbo dont fit on this track... talking to Big-A about this too.. :D
Awesome track....

my god...am getting goosebumps.i swear am shaking like crazy...are u gus crazy?timbos vocals add an edge to any song he does.this is almost the perfect track for me.i dont think u can compare it to carry out or ease of the liquor, they are club songs.this is a different mood.god am loving this track.timbo is THE BEST PRODUCER/ARTIST ALIVE

Venture said...

I prefer Fray on this, and Esthero if you will, Tim not rapping on this would of made his attribution to it mystic.

Frederick said...

LOL this single cover looks better than the album cover.

Frederick said...

Well, Venture, when the Instrumental is released, and you know it will be, then you can have fun editing Timbo's verse out.

This song is very powerful. Bout to spin it a 3rd time.

Anonymous said...

Bilza, did you actually READ my post? I said the effects were bad, not the fact that Tim has a verse. Tim's vocal effects are completely out-of-place in this song, especially since everyone else's voice sounds natural.

FrankWhite said...

told ya boy JROC is fire

Kenny said...

I think Timbaland and J-Roc composed this song while The Fray performs it, just like the way a symphony works.

Venture said...

What did J Roc do on this? Because I would think Mr. Slade and his crew provided the melody. lol

Anyways, lol at some of yall getting all soft because I said I prefer Tim not having a verse on here. Its my opinion, its not the content that I don't like, its the effects on his voice I don't like.

Frederick said...

Venture, you don't have to delete Tim's verse, just pitch it up and down on the a capella to get it to sound like an auto-tuned Slade. Lesser of two evils?

LOL I just like kidding around.

Bilza said...

until we get the full credits, we'll know for sure who created that melody.

As for the idea that the vocal effects are bad, well I totally disagree. Timbo isn't shouting, he's toning it down, his voice is unique in a way that like moon 1283 mentions gives it an extra edge. Timbo has sang on songs before that nobody thought he could have but they weren't complaining then. Anyway this song is so good it makes even the people who want to be picky to forget about the timbo verse.

Damn! I guess balls is the special on the menu today. Some people do like to exaggerate! Things like This is the best track so far, This track is up there with Apologize, please.. The truth is the lyrics are cool, features sound great, but this has very little, to no Timbaland influence at all, it also dont sound at all shocking, nor exciting. Now Apologize was the perfect balance of Tim & One Republic. Apologize is way, way up there with Cry Me A River. This people is mediocre, hell most things he does with JRock are. This is coming from an original true Tim fan, not someone who just jumped on the Tim train eating up everything he does like some drones. Damn you zombie fans!

Lez Carmen said...

Also I think Tim should give his verse to Esthero, and fall back on this one.

The Pestilence
i have been a fan of timbaland for such a long time now,and everytime he manages to create, evolve, twist and pushes the boundaries of music to a whole new level.this song for me is completely different from all the ones he has released so far.its simple(unlike timbaland),but completely deep in all its aspects.it feels just right.u dont have to be a "zombie"to know this another great song by THE MAN.

Lez Carmen said...

Yeah, but you have to be a zombie to over exaggerate the excellence of a track that is mediocre for THE MAN!

Unknown said...

TIMBALAND is going to POP.... bye bye to my loving hip-hop singer, i just have faith that he would add any real r&b or hip-hop song to this new shock value.. because actually is shocking me the change of sound that he's making.
i'm so dissapointed

Great track. But I wish there were more Esthero and less Fray and Timbaland (though I love T). Just give Esthero a breakout single already, k?

Esthero is so incredibly underrated.
