"Lose Control" mystery solved...

Yep, it's finally solved, the mystery about this unkown and also uncredited MC on Timbo's "Lose Control" feat. JoJo.
But before I tell you, check out this small MTV article:

'I got two hip-hop artists, believe it or not," Tim said Monday, running down what's coming up for him besides his just-released Shock Value II "One is this guy me and Akon signed, Billy Blue. The other one, I think people gonna wanna know about. Me and Dre just signed him, this guy named Hayes from Detroit. Incredible storyteller. Incredible. Reminds me of how B.I.G. tells his stories.'
'"He kind of was around the table," Tim said. "He wrote some of
Dre's Detox— if Dre ever is gonna do it — but he wrote a lot of that for Dre. He's just been around the camp. I knew him from my homeboy, so he's been around both camps. Me and Dre both think he's a crazy artist. So we said, 'Let's do him together.'" - MTV.com

We haven't heard much from Billy Blue yet (and I can tell you there isn't much goin on right now) and Timbaland just signed another rapper!
As Timbo says himself, Hayes isn't new to the game. Been around for a while working and writing for Dr. Dre. But he's still unknown to most of the music world...until now!!

The myterious rapper on "Lose Control" is none other than Timbaland's newest MMG signee Hayes!!! (check out his myspace, it's the same voice)
Now let's see what project Timbo and Dr. Dre are planning for him.
Maybe Tim's return to Hip Hop?

What do you think?

props to Sir Thulsa Boom for the article.

Nice, so next year we can expect albums from Bran´Nu, Soshy, Billy Blue and Hayes and maybe Nelly F & Justin with Tim productions on it?

epic said...

Good looks on the Hayes

Hopefully that Tim/Dre collab album talked about ages ago comes together after all lol (Doubtful, but we can always hope)

Man, I really want to hear the following rappers:

D.O.E
Attitude
Billy Blue
and Hayes

No bull. These dudes got so much talent. I wish I could work with any of them niggas. Real talk.

But Tim and Dre? Get out of here! I need to hear those two collab. That would be out this world... oh man... that would be crazy...

And the best part? Dre would step Tim's game up. Dre is such a perfectionist. Thats why Detox isn't out yet. He wants great music, and as Snoop said "it ain't great yet", but we know Dre working on it. And if Tim and Dre do a collab, and J-Roc, or anyone is a third party producer, I'm gonna be soooooooo pissed. That'd just be so disrespectful on so many levels to producers worldwide, and to Hip Hop.

epic said...

Yeah tim and dre would be an awesome combo

The only 3rd party hiphop/rnb/pop/etc producer that wouldn't kill me to be working with them would be danja. Although he doesn't have the credits that tim/dre have etc, tim's mentioned over and over (and it's obvious) that danja is better than him at certain things and they balance each others strengths real good.

Thanks for the props, fellas.
Actually Hayes has already worked with J-Roc. lol.
Here's a track J-Roc produced for Hayes on the More Than A Game Soundtrack - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mx4T8tFGl4w

yo Venture, told u bout Hayes bunch of weeks ago already on the chat. u didnt post shit, tsssss. I am quicker than the internet!

Frederick said...

^ You also called that Birdman track!

No offense, but J Boogie's back on his grind, go join him! AND he posts Danja news. You guys make (PRESENT tense) a great team.

Big-A said...

the Birdman song is produced by Timbo

google: "B. Williams D. CARTER T. Mosley itunes"

This guy Hayes better get used to being a feature on other artist's songs. With 'Delay' Dre and 'Timeless' Tim behind his project his album will be lucky to see the light of day. Just ask D.O.E. and Bishop Lamont they'll telll you allll about it! So I'm predicting the release date of Hayes debut album....Summer 2050...oh wait will Dre or Tim still be alive at that point??!! Fuuuucckkkk! Those two producers should NOT be running their own labels! They are the only headliners on their own label!

Venture said...

Big-A fool I didn't know! lol I haven't been able to log on the chat room for a month now. It isn't working on my home computer for some odd reason. I don't remember you telling me about the dude, honestly. lol

Black Arrow posted this though. Oh, and how come Hayes look like a darker version of my brother? Dudes facial features are the exact same... scary...

Big-A you gots my email boy, you better utilize it! *shakes fist* >:)

Venture said...

Epic, you know what? When I posted that, you know who I had in my mind? Danja... but I didn't want to sound like a hypocrite. So to not sound like a hypocrite, a exclusion to that demand I said... Danja would be a great third party producer. He, Tim, and Dre.

But then again, collaborations is all about chemistry, we can say all we want, but if two people don't have a chemistry they used to have, or never had, it won't work out, flat out.

Oh, and Fred, hit me up on my twitter account twitter.com/venturelacarte because "its" getting kind of annoying, and I will talk to you because you a supporting member.

@Fredrick

Boogie IS NOT coming back. Czar shoots him stuff and he posts it, but that's as far as it goes.

man i wish dre and tim would collab...
they would kill it...literally.
is anybody reading the reviews for SV2,wtf?????????
when timbaland goes hard and heavy(SV1,Scream)they criticize the shit out of him.
when he goes more generic, they still fishing scrutinize him.
FISH all critics man...
timbo literally created Genius with his production on Scream.no appreciation, not even a single nomination.
SV2 is amazing, sure its less complicated than its predecessor, obviously cos some pple just cant understand it,but its very well balanced.
i literally cant stop listening to it...
is it true that they suspect it will sell between 35-45 thousand copies in its first week?
they said that chris brown is expected to sell about a 100 Gs.
people are crazy.
they cant even choose between a lady hitter, and a beat killer.
i think i might will myself a heart attack soon enough

If u hear what Tim says in his recent interviews, he feels the criticism around him regarding this SV2 and his recent stuff. It's as though people judge before they put the CD in to listen to the music and understand it.
Tim is asking for these haters to play his cd atleast a dozen times before judging. They think Tim/Chris Cornell or Tim/Miley Cyrus?? WTF?? I think alot of his music recently is being pre-judged which is plain ignorance on the part of these so called critics. Obviously, when you are at the top, the haters always prey on small details, questioning why is Tim working with him/her, why is he making so many pop records, why why why, without any regard for the music itself.

SV2 does what Tim set out to do which go for the mainstream audience, get some radio air time and hopefully sell a lot. I dont want to sound contradictive, I myself find it surprising that Tim would think about money these days rather than the music. When SV1 was released, he was asked whether it was to do with money and he flatly rejected it, saying it's all about the music and the creativity that comes with it. This time if u listen carefully in the latest interviews, Tim gets quite aggressive and defensive when people question him about this pop direction, that some accuse him of falling off, going as far as saying he doesn't do Hip-hop/Rnb no more.

Admittedly it's not the greatest album ever but it's alot better than the garbage that's currently selling. Black Eyed Peas lets put it frankly in my opinon, the tracks that were at the top of the US charts for months were dreadful! lol And why the f*** is Will.i.am being mentioned in the same bracket as people like Tim?? That's just embarrassing! lol

Despite the lack of innovation in music on this album, some of these tracks are still very enjoyable and is a lot better than what the critics say. Whether people will like it who knows, I just hope as a fan, the album will do as well as Sv1.

Bilza said...

LOL @ SShearer's comment. We will see.. I dont know much about this Hayes but from I've read so far, it sounds promising. I already got high hopes for Billy Blue. Now here's someone, I feel got immense talent. I've heard a lot of his stuff and damn I can see why these record labels signed him.

Bran'Nu, SoShy, Keri and maybe Nelly Furtado next year all gonna put albums out too. Good times! :)

Lets get this straight first, not liking Sv2 does not automatically make you a hater. That shouldn't be a measure, and I don't want any of our fans feeling like that. Everyone has their own musical tastes. That being said, in response to you Bilza, yah I hope Tim isn't going in for the money now, that dims his creativity, or anyones creativity.

Like I always say, do it for the arts, not for the charts.

Will.I.Am is genius as well. Dude has been keeping a group still current that has been years, and years strong. He had about three consecutive hits within a 1 month period. Like the music he is making or not, but compared to Tim at this point in tim, he is dominating over Tim. And the average listener, and intermediate listener does not care about a producer's history, they care about the now.

Anyone knows how the sales of Timbos album is going so far?...The album is dope...I dont know why people dont appreciate creativity nowadays...Sure it isnt that much of creativity as it was on SV1 but my opinion is... the creativity is there but just in another direction...more pop orientated...Bliza, where are the videos for the interviews u say timbo is aggressive on...I will like to see these interviews...check them out for us.

Black Arrow said...

@Browser20: I'm gonna post that interview later today.

Frederick said...

First off, My bad, Big-A. I thought there was an issue with the track, considering it had been deleted from the blog.

Secondly, I'll be on Twitter, Venture. I prob been hitting you up and you didn't know it.
@deleteriousdee

Thirdly, how many times should a person have to spin an album to start feeling it? Really! Let's not fool ourselves. One is the optimal number. Haters especially aren't going to waste 12 hours of their life indoctrinating themselves to a certain artist's new sound.

Fourthly, I heard "Carry Out" on radio and felt kind of good about that. Mostly because I didn't have to fiddle with my bum-ass car CD player to hear it. Look forward to hearing Miley, too. And, my brother got hooked on that Katy Perry song on first listen. So, Tim has an audience.

Bilza said...

Let me clarify a few things. Yeah a critic isnt necessarily a hater but I read all these reviews and you get the impression some of those make up their conclusions even before they listen to the album. When you go into that negative mindset, ofcourse you aint going to like the album no matter what. Such negativity about SV2 becomes bad publicity for Tim and harms the chances of this album doing well. You just have to cast your mind back to the "Scream" album and all the negative responses it got because they frankly couldn't understand it. The hardcore Chris Cornell fans, including a friend of mine were ridiculing the idea that Chris Cornell would be working with Timbaland.

@Browser20 You can find the interview with Ed Lover on youtube, another interview on MTV and the 5 Question part with DJ Ekin.

Bilza said...

Finally, I just want to say that if ur going to make a pop record, I think this is the way to do it for a mainstream audience. Tim went for the safe option I know and it's kinda strange for him. We've come to expect so much from Tim that there's an over reliance on creativity alone. For some pop music though, there's no need to over complicate them.

when i listen to an album,i dont pay much attention to the melody anymore.
sure its an important part, but am more intrigued by the beat, the whole production aspect.
if u have listened to Scream,u would definitely recognize the complexity in timbo's production.and its his best work ever...and no one can convince me otherwise...
i actually get more pleasure listening to how he makes all those sounds fit together.weird tunes, and echoes on each ear...etc
i dont think u can get a timbo sound unless u listen to it many times, and with good headphones...not speakers.
perhaps thats y most critics always hit timbo hard.they dont have the time to listen to it more than once.job hazard i guess.
my policy, ever since Scream got crucified,is fcuk all critics & fcuk all haters.
timbaland should really just make music for me...lol
plz go out and buy SV2

A Pop record is Lady Gaga's recent albums. She's been outputting Pop hits left and right. That is pop record. SV2 will et stormed out by Chris, Rihanna, and of course Gaga.

Thing is, this album doesn't have a "The Way I Are". That caught on right away. It was just super nasty. This album doesn't have that one track, that a lot of people knows is a hit.

Frederick said...

^ Agreed. The Way I Are was iconic. In a couple of years they'll be playing it on the radio as a throwback joint. If Drum Life was on SV2 (featuring James Fauntleroy or some other male singer), it would have done.

Browser20 said...

To be honest, I dont listen to hiphop music nowadays for more than 2 times...they are so f*** up that it just easily gets boring...people keep doing thesam thing all over again just changing features and setting but same lyrics and beats...I cant start listing examples but its just numerous...from young jezzy to usher, to all these southern rappers except T.I etc...the only people I respect in hip hop now are 3) Kanye, 2)Neptunes and at position 1) Timbaland...Timbaland is a music genius...he thinks so far in music that its difficult for people to get the music he make in the present times bc they are brainwashed by all the Black eyed peas and likes unchanging music...neptunes and tim and kanye are the only guys that take the risk to make something different...with tim at the to of musical risk bearing. Timbaland beats are so incredible and he alsways thinks so far...I neva stop listening to his music, old and new bc i just enjoy the complexity. SV2 is such a great album..when i first listened to it, i liked just say something,a few days later- carry out, a few days later-undertow,later-timothy,later meet me in the middle, later-tomorrow, later-long way down etc etc and now i cant stop listening to the whole album...I think timbo has been very successful this time in mixing hiphop,r&b and rock music together.he was with chris but pple cldnt just get it at the time...now its clearly good...People...i dont know how much ill say this...those critics out there dont count. timbo has said it himself how hes ready to accept the criticisms but if i were him, ill say i dont care...those critics dont even know about appreciating good music...true they affect timbaland sales with all the bad reviews but timbalands music will always stand out unique...I love your ways Timbaland...if not for u, i wont be listening to mainstream music anymore, I would have fully finally change my taste of music to electro and house and celtic which i listen nowadays more than the hiphop i used to like which has gone crappy now...but timbo still keep my hopes....
