i dont like the song. i think tim just wanted to take advantage of drake's rising reputation. the video has nothing special. i like the synchronized movement. this shouldnt have been a single
@moon1283 - I don't really like this song either. I agree with it not being a single. Vid is urmm ok. I think Tim has been making a lot of wrong moves lately. I've began the wait for SV3, I'm not liking SV2 has a whole. Below is my review. I tried to post a while back but there was a problem with posting, kept getting an error.
1. Intro (by DJ Felli Fel) - Beat is Proberly one best on SV2. That being said the intro was a bit weak for one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2009. Not touching Missy's errie Da Real World intro, or Busta's E.L.E.
2. Carry Out (featuring Justin Timberlake) - Drums are totally weak on this track, the beat could have been beefed up for the Chrous. Should have recycled 'Give It To Me's' drums for this one. Still love it, even though justin sounds a little tired.
3. Lose Control (featuring JoJo) - This is really one of the stronger tracks on SV2. Tim and JoJo sound Great together on this track.
4. Meet In Tha Middle (featuring Bran’ Nu) - Good track no doudt but, waste of a Space for Tim to make a track himself, sorry I dont want to hear a solo Polow beat on SV2.
5. Say Something (featuring Drake) ^^^
6. Tommorow In The Bottle (featuring Chad Kroeger & Sebastian) - Love the beat but. I was looking forward to this pearing but, on this track Chad spoils it for me, sorry!
7. We Belong To Music (featuring Miley Cyrus) - Dont fight it, Like it or not, this is once catchey tune. LOL Would be great for a Miley album, Love the guitar melody that comes into the chrous. No Timbaland influence at all, sounds like a Miley track featuring Tim's vocals. Also that ENOYING! organ type synth lead should have been a guitar riff.
8. Morning After Dark (featuring Nelly Furtado & SoShy) - This is diffintley one of the stand out tracks, and favorites of the album, I like it a lot, So Shy's sexy voice fits so well on this track. Why Nelly is on this, I dont know!
9. If We Ever Meet Again (featuring Katy Perry) - Yes this is a good song but, for SV2 its a no go for me. Sorry but this just has a little to much Katty Perry sauce for a Timbaland track. Another track with little to no Tim influence. 4:24 This is a sad day indeed, a Timbo beat breakdown that is weak WTF!
10.Can You Feel It (featuring Esthero & Sebastian) - Now I like this track, I must say that melody in the begining mezmerzingly awesome, sounds like a computer game. Track has just a little to much going on in the chrous, could hardly hear Esthro. Track is at its best once past 1:44. 11.Ease Off The Liquor- Beat is dope as hell! Its a no go for lyrics for me.
12.Undertow (featuring The Fray & Esthero) - Beautful crafted song! Beat could have down with a little more icing, some of those tight 'Apologize' kicks mybe. Vocals and lyrics great.
13.Timothy Where You Been (featuring Jet) - LOL I listen to Jet, when I first heard the oringinal song, I always thought man, Timbaland sould sample this, and low and behold. Reminds of 'Hold On' from UC2. Love it but, cant help feel it could have been more epic. Where are the Timbaland drums we love?
14.Long Way Down (featuring Daughtry) - Intro sounded promising, but in the end it fails for me. Not even touching the weakest track on Scream. I never would have thought in a million years a Timbaland track would be chore to listen to.
15.Marching On (featuring One Republic) - I was Diffinetly looking forward to this collabration on SV2 the thing is, I think Tim should have done a completley new song with One Republic. Loving the drums! More enjoyable to listen to the original but, a rework of Marching On this is not what I was waiting for.
16.The One I Love (featuring Keri Hilson & D.O.E.) - Love old Timbo but, he has developed his drums to the point of no return, these just don't hit hard. I HATE THE CHOROUS WITH A PASSION. Dont think this should have made it on SV2, mybe a left over from Keri's Album? It has no wow factor. Also sounds unfinshed. Chris Browns verse was the best, and they removed it. LOL
17.Symphony (featuring Attitude, Bran’ Nu & D.O.E.) - Bubba Sparks anyone? Track is great! 1:00 Who is Tim talking about? Danja??? LOL
Timbaland was definitely not on planet Timbaland this time round. I get the impression Tim's heart wasn't in this project. He must have some sort of issues going on in the Camp, and with himself creatively, has a result this has reflected and shaped SV2 into what it is. May it be Danja's "temporary" separation, J-Rocs influence, or just lame studio bots nodding yes to everything his been creating in the studio, the album is very inconsistent. Its more of a collage of beats sounds and features, and not in a good way. This is not The SV2 I was dreaming about I actually feel like crying, I'm serious! I guess I have To wait For the next album, which I hope deserves the title "shock value". I'm sure Justin & Nelly Furtado's next albums will quench my thirst for the Timbaland sound I crave.
Still love you Tim, and wish you success with this album.
None of y'all notice Billy Blue at the table? lol. On the real, though was wondering why he never made it on SV2. Hopefully he gets his shine too. I like this vid - Plus Tim brought out the 98 era shades on us :-)
