Timbaland working with Mike Tompkins

Looks like Tim gets some new talent on board for 'Shock Value 3'!

Have you ever heard of Mike Tompkins? Well, he's remaking songs...with his mouth. All instruments! And he does youtube videos of that which made him quite a youtube star.
Check out one of his remakes (my personal favorites):

Saw it? Dope, right? Though you definitely should take a look at his youtube channel to see all of his videos! youtube.com/user/pbpproductions

Now what has he to do with Timbo?
According to macleans.ca, Tim reached out to Mike after he performed at the Ellen show wanting to work with him.
He brought Timbaland an upbeat demo that sounded like the producer’s own tracks, with hard-hitting drums, synth pads, and a nasal, hooky lead—except that Tompkins had created all the sounds a cappella.
“As soon as I played it, his eyes widened. He goes, ‘Man, you’ve been studying me!’ ” Together, they reworked the track and devised four others; all are being considered for Timbaland’s album Shock Value III.
Mike Timpkins also told us that he mostly worked on Pop tracks with Tim's 'Shock Value 3'.

props to Niko for the article...

[Update]:
Now Tim personally said something about Mike Tompkins on twitter:

His material's hotter than any of the songs Timbo's camp has come up with in the past 6 months.

And he makes better videos than Timbo's directors lol
