Timbaland - "Hands in the Air" (feat. Ne-Yo)

Timbaland - "Hands in the Air" (feat. Ne-Yo)

Well here is a recently leaked track by Timbaland, with a fantastically original title. It is going around the blog-o-sphere as featuring Ne-Yo, but for those without hearing impairments might question this - but regardless of this I would question why a talented vocalist needs heavy alterations to their voice. Judging by the state of the track, I would hazard a guess its merely a demo but judging by recent tracks we have heard - I could be mistaken...

It is apparently set to feature in the upcoming Step Up 4: Revolutions film, although dancing to the track would only consist of putting your hands in the air, as the unimaginative hook tells us - oh dont forget to stand on chairs... although I wouldn't recommend this... :D

Tell us what you think!

Sorry davidprimer but you're totally wrong!! Nobody says to timbo that what he make since 2008 is garbage!! Fortunately there is blogger like Haze or Black Arrow to criticize Timbo!!

@Davidprimer: You kidding me? This post here is spot on! Blogs exist for people to spread their own opinions, not for being some sheep without any.

"You should put this song up while listening through headphones"? Seriously? If songs are only good, if you listen to them on headphones the producer definitely made everything wrong. Please tell me how all pre-2008 Timbo productions are wack and uncreative, if you don't listen to them on high quality audio systems.

Now I've decided to let go of the MMG leash, so I dont have to do arse-kissing now. I am not gonna post stuff and bullshit to say how much I like them. I do like timbos music but recently it's been awful, and I know for a fact Timbo cares what ppl thinks online and I'm giving him my opinion.
This track sounds amazing with the headphones I have that dont work :D

I shud stop blogging David? I'm sorry mate but you know where to go...

Guys, I thought we were all here to support Timbo, either negative or positive, PhatRabbit has a point, each blogger is simply showing their own view on the topic, so Haze has every right to say whatever he thinks about the track or even Tim, so David I think that's really unfair of you to say that

lol people deleting their own comments.....

Well listen guys, I know that blog post was quite brutally honest of me but I have more time on my hands and I will only be honest from now on. Some people will like it, probably most won't but I am sick of just posting tracks and sitting on the fence. I started this site because I appreciated Timbaland's music but he (like everyone) shouldn't be allowed to get away with awful, chart-centric tracks - his fame doesn't make him impervious to criticism and I will do this very thing when appropriate. This site won't turn into a hate-site or a venue for my rants about music but quite frankly the neutrality of the web is boring to me, other fan-sites promoting every sound timbo makes as epic pieces of music. I am very interested to hear peoples views on this and enjoy the discussions that TCC (and to a much lesser extent TTB) was known for.

Nice to see you back at it, Haze. Can't wait for you to bring your analysis back to Danja Blog!

But, I hate what they did to Ne-Yo's voice in this song... I've listened to about 400 Ne-Yo songs and not a single one of them has ever had his voice altered in this way. It's just an insult considering that he could make himself sound like that naturally if things called for that.

As for criticizing Timbo... that's something people have been doing for ages. People hated on Beat Club. People hated on Timbo-lake's decadent partnership in 07-08. People hated on Tim once Danja went solo...

Enuff with the electro house ish. Where is the sample chopping, asr10 using, original timbo?! Must b the 2 million producers that he has doing the music for him. If anything jus use hannon and get danja back. Geez!!!

Props to Haze for the honesty. I love Tim, but this track is absolutely awful. No musical or creative value whatsoever. Tim is now a follower rather than a leader. Sad.

And David Primer, what "brand new mastering process" was used?? As an engineer, I sure haven't heard of any "brand new mastering processes" being invented lately.

@Alex the new mastering process is with MAXD technology, it puts songs into HD Audio

I'm sorry...I was a die hard Timbaland fan for years. His stuff used to give me the chills. I havent had that feeling from one of his tracks since maybe 2006 at the latest. His stuff used to stand out from other producers but I find it hard to distinguish his production from others nowadays. I understand the need to make a living but please stop compromising your talent. I've given up hope basically of him ever becoming one of my top fav producers ever again.
