Timbaland feat. Justin Timberlake - "Crazy Girl"

Check out "Crazy Girl" by Timbo and Justin Timberlake, which unforunately didn't make the cut to the standard version of Shock Value 2:

Timbaland feat. Justin Timberlake - "Crazy Girl"
(prod. by Timbaland & JRoc):

You hear some familiar samples? The sample in the chorus we already told you about.
Also listen to the bridge, do you recognize this sample?
A hint: Timbo already used it at a certain Remix he did. ;)

What do you think of the track?

props to Edwin & Renegad3 for the find...

why does every timbo beat sound like Reason 4 drum loops put together?

epic said...

It's the choir sample from the Maneater remix with Wayne

thats some crazy shit!!! hope JT put that on his album tho.

better than carry out

Best leaked track this season!

Got the HQ and it hits hard and the production is awesome!

Who cares if it's left out...atleast we can have the track :-)

Oh and yea it has the choir sample but it's still SICK

One of the best track leaked indeed !! damn, its a HIT ! why not on sv2 ..? :(

Frederick said...

HOT! Tim should have made 18 of these and called it an album.

thepestilence said...

fish,am sweating my ass...
this is hotttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
definitely the best track so far.damn y isnt it on the original track listing?
timbo and justin are out of this friggin world.
this is a whole different league.

Bilza said...

It's like the old Tim/JT collabs! HOT!!!! Whether it's on Sv2 or not, let's just assume it is or perhaps a bonus track for the album. It's new timbo anyway!

Bilza said...

Any praise for JRoc this time?? haha :P.

thepestilence said...

like i said before,Jroc created Scream with timbo which in my opinion the best timbaland production, ever.
it even surpassed FS/LS for me,and justin timberlake is,and has been my no 1 artist since 1996.
till jts new album comes out, chris cornell is in that spot.
goddamn i love this song.
any one can hear that talk in the background at the end of the chorus when he's sayin "u,u,u"?its like bab,ba,bab,ba beri, beri.
leave it to timbo for details.

Venture said...

[bait] Man, we've had this track forever, just had to wait until it was leaked elsewhere until we could post it up. [/bait]

This track is pretty good. But it doesn't match any quality of FSLS... its hard to top that classic piece of work.

I can't wait to hear Justin's next album, and so is the world... that album will go times platinum.

thepestilence said...

hey venture, what does that mean that u had this track forever????
it just leaked today...
as for FS/LS it was my favourite album of all time 2006-2009.then timbaland went into overdrive with Scream.i spent months just trying to figure out the new sound.i dont care what anybody might say,but that album was just incredible in everyway possible.the production on that mother almost drove me crazy, just trying to figure out the details...esp "Take Me Alive".too bad not many people agreed
i love it when timbo goes "complex"thats entertainment.
crazy girl is from that league if not ahead.
this song just raised the bar for SV2 for me.it cant go downhill from this.i need timbo to breathe damn it.cant listen to most of the crap out there.

Swandito said...

moon i think that venture was being sarcastic.

This track is aight nothing special...I don't really get the craziness y'all talkin about but it sounds ok on the first listen.

Bilza said...

All u haters are now eating ur words! Timbo lost it?? Hah! no chance lol

Big-A said...

do me a favor please. listen to "Cry Me A River" or "My Love" and rate the songs on a scale from 1 to 10. Afterwards listen to this one and rate it too.

Frederick said...

^ Factor in Scott Storch / Danja, and then rate the songs.

Chamba said...

the song's cool and all, but I actually prefer 'Carry Out' over this.
*shrugs*

thepestilence said...

look when i first heard my love,i thought wtf is justin doing.it wasnt what am used to hearing from him at the time.it is a fishing amazing song no doubt.i think crazy girl isnt short of that.the production value is as weird as it gets, lyrics are amazing, and both of their vocals rock.this is the whole rock/pop theme that timbo been tryin to push since god knows when.
a little thing i have learned when listening to timbo is that u dont get the sound on the first listen.i have actually tried this on my friends and it works.so hear it a few times then decide.
he is always ahead musically.
thats y they think Scream tanked, cos it was ahead by 2 yrs.
thats y brandy's afrodesiac tanked it was also ahead by 2 yrs.thats y bubba sparxxx's Deliverance(simply incredible)album tanked.it was also ahead of its time.
unless ventured works for tim,he couldnt have had that track "forever".
and eventhough i hate miley cyrus guts, and i think she has no talent,am still liking the clip.and she'll never be like jt.
fish taylor swift...

Bilza said...

^ I agree with moon1823.

Cry Me a River = 10/10

My Love = 10/10. I prefer Sexy Back which is an 11/10

Crazy Girl = 9/10

Carry Out = 8/10

Nobody is suggesting that "Crazy Girl" is in the same league as those other tracks but damn it's still HOT! When u hear a track like Crazy Girl, you can see the influence Timbo has on those other classics except for maybe "My Love" which is mainly by Danja.

Kenny said...

He used that synth from return the favor, that flute synth, but it's not gated in this one, and not only that, this song sounds SOOO old school for some reason, it sounds like something aaliyah would be on.

Venture said...

I caught two fish with that bait? Or was it just one? I know I caught one fish though.

I agree with Big-A. This track is good, but like he said... go listen to Justins earlier work, and then listen to this....

thepestilence said...

i got ur bait right here man,lol
i get that we are comparin things with the old,but sound are changin.if i listen to my love(did a wk ago)i wont be as moved as with crazy girl.
tim's sound is going forward so is jt.look at him he is practically rappin.thats not the nsync, nor the justified jt.sure he started in FS/LS with chop me up,but now he seems everytime he is just rappin.and wtf happened to his falsetto, that shit always brings it home.
"now what is it this time?u must've lost ur mind, wish i could press rewind, tryin to figure out what did i do...u u u as u"
damn

epic said...

people are used to tims music sucking lately, so when he comes with some average stuff people are ALL OVER IT

it's a decent track, but compared to everything else by tim/JT, it's not on the same level

Anonymous said...

Damn Moon1283, are those really the lyrics? Embarrassingly lazy. I never really pay attention to the lyrics in music like this anymore, and that's why...

Frederick said...

Justin's lyrics were ALWAYS kind of lazy... he never writes them down. Nothing new.

Swandito said...

so yeah i'm gonna stand by what i said, this joint is nothing special.

N.L.O said...

LOVE IT !!!

Venture said...

Justin's lyrics have been making young girls across the globe, and making girls and guys buy flocks of his albums, laziness for the win.

thepestilence said...

its a song about crazy girls, its not supposed to be amazing lyrically.catchy, bouncy, and sleasy, and maybe dirty...thats all i need really.
dont for get sexyback,or my love,or love stoned.these arent really imressive lyrically, but vocally thats somethin else.
"she took the key to the driver side door of my car, just because she said she had a dream that she saw me with some other broad.and now am standin on the front lawn, gun in my hand, damn how this shit get this far.baby u could fool the whole world but i know who u really are"

THIS SITE ROCKS!

@Epic I think ur too busy hating on recent Timbaland tracks to like any music for that matter. It may not fall under the standard that Big-A sets but for many of us it's still a dope track. Not better than FS/LS but still jammin.

epic said...

@bliza so I'm supposed to agree that it's an amazing track if I don't think so? Get outta here, I have always, and will always post my opinion regardless of what others think of it.

Tim's latest music, for the most part, hasn't been anything I'd listen to more than once, and this song isn't anything compared to any other justin/tim collab. It's average at best

epic said...

BTW you guys might recognize that vocal sample that appears in spots throughout the track from the ustream steve did with tim in the studio, before he started his glitch beat

Bilza said...

No I wont get outta here. If ur not enjoying the music, then expect the trend to continue so I guess dont bother looking for new Timbaland stuff as to ur liking anytime soon.

"people are used to tims music sucking lately, so when he comes with some average stuff people are ALL OVER IT"

Some of us are not that naive to like a track just for the sake of it since what YOU say is Timbo's dropping standard in good music. Ur entitled to ur opinon. U speak ur mind good but there's a limit. I listen to old Timbo tracks more than his recent. In fact I dont listen to FS/LS anymore (apart from Sexy Back/My Love) or SV1 for that matter but this "Crazy Girl" track is new and I enjoy it listening to it. Say Something is growin on me, Carry Out is good, Ease of the Liqour beat is great, will get the crowd movin but not liking the vocals especially with all that auto-tune. Undertow is nice but different to what Timbo has done in the past but I just see that as something positive, ambitious, creative rather than a negative. Is it as good as as Tim's old stuff let alone FS/LS?? I say again NO but we still enjoy it.

Bilza said...

Correction: Undertow different to what timbo's has done in the past is in fact not entirely true if u listen to the Shelby Norman or Kiley Dean tracks and those tracks till this day are some of the most underrated.

epic said...

LOL, Bliza I'm not going to stop looking for new tim material, however if I think a track sucks, I WILL post that in a comment.

@ Being niave, if any of the sv2 tracks had played 2 year ago, EVERYBODY would be asking "what the hell is this shit"

Bilza said...

@EIPC It's funny, u had some people saying that about SV1 tracks 2 years ago. Go on TCC and read some of the comments under SV1. You will laugh at what you read. 10-15 years ago everybody would be asking about SV1 as "what the hell is this shit." If ur not satisfied and cant keep up with the times, then just sit back and listen to ur SV1 and FS/LS. Timbo is not in this game just to keep making same tracks sound the same. That's what you cant get ur head round. Can we count Elevator as a recent timbo track? This track is one of the best of all time, Chris Cornell album whilst many agree it's an experimental piece of work, it's some of timbo's best. Big-a who like u has been critical of some of Timbo's recent stuff, likes the PCD tracks timbo produced and this was post SV1 and even Return the Favor which I'm not a fan of. In fact the Keri Hilson album in which Danja/Timbo worked on I felt was kinda weak if u wanna compare it FS/LS and Loose.

Even if this new sound doesn't satisfy you for others i.e. another audience it's good enough. Besides we haven't even listened to the whole album yet. I must reiterate though from what I heard so far off SV2 it's not as good old Timbo stuff especially pre-2003.

Bilza said...

Not forgetting demo tracks with James Fauntleroy such as Back Together, Lets Do It, Home, Who's the loser Now, I'm a Believer, The DEY, Talk That, Brandy's Drum Life...not bad for a producer which his critics claim has lost it?? lol Just reading comments on TCC and youtube videos complimenting these tracks, urging them to be made singles. Timbo lost it? I think he's laughing at his critics more than me. Just watching him create beats LIVE was incredible, in fact he should have put them on SV2. That's how much he is a genius!

epic said...

I liked cornell's album and elevator, I'm talking about the releases in the last 3 or so months, which I didn't like at all.

I never stated that I wanted tim to make tracks that sounded the same, far from it. However, there's a difference between being branching out and making music that sucks.

I'm all for Tim changing up his sound and coming with new shit. But that's what most of his recent music has been... new shit.

thepestilence said...

can i just say that regardless if u think his latest tracks are shit or not,and besides timbo being ranked by some magazine(XXL)as the 4th best producer after kanye, and diddy?,still his music, experimental or not is better than 98% of whats out there.people wait anxiously to see what tim is gonna come up with next.so everybody can start copying his sound.
i agree pcd's track sucked with the exception of halo, which is brilliantly produced.

lets keep it real,WHO CAN DO BETTER?

Frederick said...

Now, THAT'S real debate. Where were you cats when the Miley snippet hit the Web?
