Check out this 3 part interview with Timbaland at the Ed Lover Show.
Really, watch all of it! Some very interesting details.
One the first part, it's mostly about the relationship between Jay-Z and Timbo. And he's finally making a statement about the leaking of the Blueprint 3 records!
Listen at around 4:30 min. One of those tracks Tim did, but didn't know that he could work with Jay-Z on that, is "Venus Vs. Mars". The reference track is by a female singer!
Also hear Timbo saying at 05:00 min that he always has Jay-Z in mind when he makes a beat? Even would take it away from other artists (e.g. Missy) to give it to Jay?? Damn!! So much for that other statement of him "Of course I'm not giving Jay my best material".
And the "Big Pimpin'" beat, one of Jay-Z's biggest hits, was originally meant for Timbo & Magoo! Wow!
At the end of this part Timbo talks about the amazing chemistry between him and Justin Timberlake, even being better than the chemistry between him and Jay!!
Timbaland producing the next album of Brandy aka Bran' Nu, which was kinda obvious knowing that he thinks about signing her to MMG (as we told you)!! And it's gonna be, as Timbo states, half rap and half singing!
Artists Timbo wants to work with: Lady GaGa (they wanted to work together on SV2, but somehow it didn't work out), Kings Of Leon (also meant for SV2), Kanye West.
Timbo also says that there's gonna be a re-package of Shock Value 2. So let's see if these collaborations gonna work out...
Now some R&B talk. Timbo saying: "There is no R&B!" R. Kelly was Timbaland's last hope for R&B!
At the end of part II and in part III of the interview Timbo talks about his music in general and how it changed...

oh crap, i was gonna post this up, Big-A sent it me...
^too late lmao. Would have posted it yesterday already, but had no tme to finish it.
a re-package???omg...i can't wait :D
Hahahaha what was his statement directed to all the people hating on his latest productions??? Haha
^that whole talk at the end lol
Venus vs. Mars was obviously meant for a girl... it had a bridge and everything! Chances are if that chick did get the beat, we never would have heard it
yeah, Steve played it at one of his ustreams. Sounds hot!
but true, we prolly never would be able to hear it then.
Thanks for the upload..As Bliza directed me, I already listened to the interview on youtube...It was a cool interview bc tim gave some deep insides into his present position in the music industry...from my understanding, his sudden change in direction was people not offering him the desired respect he deserved in the Hiphop and R&B game...he said...he therefore decided to change into a new direction where there is freedom and people just like the music and one becomes a great star...such that you are ascorted to the airport after a concert...Bliza earlier said tim became aggressive when he was asked why his album was so pop orientated...Bliza, I dont really think he was being aggressive...rather, he was trying to defend himself...We all know that tim is not a good speaker...he is a very nervous man out of the beat creating environment...well thats how i see him...because he isnt really good at bringing out his points clearly. so what I think happened during the interview was just tim trying to make clear that whenever he tried out at music, he was highly judged than others even before people fully listen to his music which is true as we can see with SV2...its a far much better album than E.N.D by black eyed peas but pple are just judging tim alot before listening to the album...
well enough said for now....
I loved the interview and love to hear what his thoughts are and it is true he knew pop was going to blow up his past work which we are all fans of at the time was being scrutinized and you see biting his old styles like they are new all the time now though I am iffy on the euro/trance/pop sound he has barely touched the surface of the kind of music he can potentially make.
critics can suck it for all i care...
i would like to see time explore that sound he did with chris cornell on Scream.
a more rockier album perhaps.
but i would like to see him do that with justin timberlake.
am sure if Scream was made for JT,it would have exploded like crazy.
one critic said,Scream was the closest album to MJ's "thriller".
i bet if jt did it,it would have surpassed thriller.
still,i love chris cornell and it was also right for him.
i also wanna see tim do an album like Deliverance.that shit was fishin crazy.and to think that tim could come up with such an advanced sound in 2003...friggin genius.
TIMBO the KING
That album wasn't anywhere near Thriller. Even if JT did it.
"That album wasn't anywhere near Thriller. Even if JT did it."
THIS
JT can't touch Michael
granted JT cant touch mj,but u have to agree he is the best pop star on the planet now that mj is gone, sadly.
i believe soon enough he will be able to go that far
and i dint say that album was thriller, the critic said
"the former Soundgarden/Audioslave frontman's controversial new CD seems like nothing so much as an attempt to create his very own Thriller. What's more surprising than Scream's R&B bells and whistles (provided by überproducer Timbaland) is that Cornell almost succeeds at that goal without tarnishing his hard-rawkin' legacy".
i am still waiting for tim to top that.
hopefully with the next jt album.
